First Wednesdays at the AIA Philadelphia Center for Architecture

Keep that New Year’s resolution to get your AIA credits early this year by attending the First Wednesday programs every month at the Philadelphia AIA’s Center for Architecture. All programs earn 1.0 HSW Learning Unit. They begin at noon and run until 1pm. If you’re not an AIA member but still need credits to maintain your architecture or engineering certification, you will receive a certificate to submit for credits on your own. Registration is free, but please RSVP by replying to this email, so we can have an accurate count for materials and lunch.

On the Bookshelf

On the Bookshelf

By: Edward Keegan

“There are usually 50 or 100 books on people’s desks at any given moment,” says Robert A.M. Stern of his firm’s collection of about 11,000 architectural tomes. “The library is the gateway to our architecture, conceptually. We do a lot of research—from both the aesthetic and technical points of view—in designing our buildings.”
